The saying is, “‘Tis better to give than to receive,” but getting an awesome Christmas present can sure be a memorable thing. In releases from their record labels, some of our favorite country artists recall what their most favorite Christmas present was:

Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line says his most memorable gift was a big surprise. “One year I actually got a dirt bike,” he reveals. “It was big, ‘cause dad would always act like, you’re not gonna get much this Christmas, ‘Times are tough’, whatever, whatever. So you never had a whole lot of expectation, and that one Christmas there was like hardly anything under the tree and I’m just like, ‘Well, I guess he was right’, and then he took me outside and there was a dirt bike in the yard, and for me, that was like the best thing ever. So, I was probably fifteen-years-old or somethin’, but yeah, that was an awesome day.”

Luke Bryan received his favorite gift exactly thirty years ago. “My first Honda 50 motorcycle that I got back in 1984,” he says. “It was just an amazing gift to have under the tree, and I never will forget seeing that as I walked out.”

Easton Corbin’s favorite gift probably has a lot to do with his current career: “My favorite Christmas gift probably as a kid would probably be the guitar my dad got me, the first electric guitar my dad got me one Christmas. I don’t remember exactly which one it was, but yeah, it was the first electric I ever got.”

Music also plays a part in Thomas Rhett’s pick for best present: “The best gift I ever received, as a child, was probably my first drum set,” he says, “And then as an adult, my wife bought me a Benelli twelve gauge shotgun last year, which was pretty awesome. It’s better than I ever did for her.”

Kimberly Shlapman of Little Big Town says one year as a kid, she “really badly wanted a record player, and I got one of those little box record players, and it was blue and white plaid. And then I got Andy Gibbs’ 45 to go on it, and I was in love with Andy Gibb. I loved my little record player. I wish I still had it.”

For her bandmate Jimi Westbrook, it was a bicycle. “It was like a yellow three-speed. Remember those?”
