A week after Kid Rock came under scrutiny for killing a mountain lion, the Detroit musician has embroiled himself in controversy once again, this time over the film American Sniper.
Gun enthusiast Kid Rock didn’t take kindly to comments about the film offered up by Michael Moore and Seth Rogen. To recap: Moore spoke out against snipers, tweeting about his personal experience with them.
Meanwhile Rogen made a jokey comparison, tweeting that American Sniper “kind of reminds me of the movie that’s showing in the third act of Inglorious Basterds,” before clarifying that he was actually a fan.
Still, Kid Rock didn’t take kindly to those words and took to his website to post a strongly worded note to Moore and Rogen in defense of Chris Kyle, the U.S. Navy SEAL who was depicted by Bradley Cooper in the Clint Eastwood-directed movie.
