If you’re stumped on what to do for 4th of July this year, why not get your sports fix?
Independence Day this year features a handful of local sports and events that will feature fireworks and family fun!
New York Mets vs Los Angeles Dodgers
First pitch is scheduled for 4:15pm, but there will be plenty of sights to see before and after the game. Pregame will feature a tribute to our U.S. Armed Forces and a performance form the LA Zoo’s Bald Eagle. Then to wrap up the evening, you’ll see a USO Show Troupe performance and a fireworks show.
Vancouver Whitecaps FC vs Los Angeles Galaxy
You won’t want to miss the annual 4th of July Fireworks Soccer Extravaganza. Your five time MLS Champion Galaxy will look to get a win, followed by a fireworks display that will light up the city of Carson.
Mr. & Mrs. Muscle Beach
Time to get your flex on! The annual bodybuilding competition features pros and amateurs from all around, showing off their muscles and creating fireworks of their own. Bring as many people as you’d like as spectators can watch for free.
Kaboom! Monster Trucks & FMX
Gear up for the 30th annual fireworks spectacular at the Pomona Fairplex. Enjoy a loud night of monster trucks, motocross and fireworks lighting up the night sky. Oh, did we mention there will also be a human cannonball?
Sure you can sit back and watch all of these events, but why not get involved in one? The Firecracker Dash is a 5k run or walk that starts bright and early in Redondo Beach. It’s fun for all ages and everyone goes home with a t-shirt and medal!
