If you think your child has what it takes to become the next Misty Copeland or Mikhail Baryshnikov, here are some places in the I.E. that will properly teach your future prima ballerina (or premier danseur) how to properly plié:
Inland Dance Academy in Highland: Owned by Evette DeMarco, former dancer with John Clifford’s Los Angeles Ballet. Her daughter Rachel Swinson-Jacinto also runs Riverside Dance Academy, and daughter Giselle DeMarco teaches at Inspire Dance of Corona.
Inland Pacific Ballet in Montclair: Directed by SoCal dance veterans Victoria Koenig, Kevin Myers, and Kelly Lamoureux.
Riverside Ballet Arts: Owned by Glenda Carhart, former dancer with the National Ballet of Canada.
San Gorgonio Ballet School of Dance: Directed by Julia Olsen-Rodriguez, winner of First Place Honors at the Youth America Grand Prix.
The Ballet Studio in Temecula: Directed by British Columbia’s actor/dancer Mark Erickson.
BONUS: Although not technically in the I.E., but still commutable from the Corona area: Yorba Linda Academy of Ballet: Directed by Terri Russell, who was featured in the music video for Lionel Richie’s “Ballerina Girl.”
