Riverside police say a former warehouse worker has been arrested in a case that involves the theft of 2,298 Go Pro Hero cameras that are estimated to be worth more than $250,000.

July 21 detectives began their investigation into the theft of the stolen Go Pro cameras in an industrial area in Riverside on Eastridge Avenue in the area just east of Sycamore Canyon Road.

Almost a week later detectives responded to an ad offering Go Pro Hero 4 cameras for sale and set up a meeting with the would-be seller. A written police statement said that during the meeting the officers recovered four of the stolen cameras.

According to Press Enterprise jail records, last Thursday, July 28th, 23-year-old Anthony Jacob Zent was arrested at his Moreno Valley apartment and was booked for investigation of conspiracy and embezzlement. His bail has been set at $1.14 million.

Detectives are asking for the public’s help in finding the remaining cameras. If you have any additional information may call Detective Brett Stennett at 951-826-5388 or Acting Sgt. Joe Miera at 951-353-7241.
