San Bernardino, California – The Stater Bros. “family” of employees, suppliers, friends, and representatives of Operation Community Cares celebrated Armed Forces Day 2016 by creating 1,000 care packages for local military who are currently serving overseas.

Some of these care packages were recently received by the crew aboard the USS Boxer (LHD 4). Stater Bros. Executive Chairman and Navy vet, Jack H. Brown, received a letter from the Commanding Officer of the ship, thanking Stater Bros. for the 277 packages and mentioned “receiving care packages brightens a Sailor’s day.”

“Stater Bros. has a rich legacy of service to this great nation and a long-standing commitment to the support of our country’s veterans and service members,” stated Jack H. Brown, Executive Chairman of Stater Bros. Markets. “All Americans should continue to pray for our troops on duty around the world with a prayer ‘Come Home Safe  . . . Come Home Soon.’”
