Dierks Bentley was blown away recently, by a young fans’ gift of a painting of Bentley’s late dog, Jake.

Sydney Lawton, who is 14, gave Dierks the painting, as a keepsake after the singer lost his faithful companion to cancer last month.

Dierks was so overwhelmed by the kind gesture, he posted a picture of the painting on his Instagram page.

Dierks wrote, “This painting of my dog Jake fro 14 yr old Sydney Lawton really blows my mind and hits my heart hard.  Thank you.”

Jake passed away from cancer last month at the age of 15.  Dierks honors Jake in a song on his current album, “Black”, called “Can’t Be Replaced”.
