Eli Young Band took the stage Thursday night (August 11) at Wilson Creek Winery in Temecula, California.

Eli Young Band has an penchant for playing live shows. “That’s what we love,” Jon Jones of the band said in a release earlier this month. “That ability to get up on stage and entertain people, and feel that rush of being up there and playing music together is what has kept us going all this time.”

Opening their set with “Fingerprints,” the crowd was energetic and sustained that energy throughout the whole evening.

Eli Young Band played many songs from their repertoire, including “Even if it Breaks Your Heart,” which the audience sang every word of the lyrics with the band. Other songs they played are “Crazy Girl,” “Saltwater Gospel,” and “Drunk Last Night.”

They also covered a few hits from other artists, like Andy Grammer’s “Honey, I’m Good,” Steve Miller Band’s “Small Town Kid” and “The Joker,” and David Lee Murphy’s “Dust on the Bottle.”

Mike Eli spent some time telling the audience about his experience at Garth Brooks’ concerts before launching into Brooks’ “Thunder Rolls.”
