Dixie Chicks lead singer, Natalie Maines, has once again voiced her opinion on Twitter, calling Donald Trump supporters and country radio, “hypocrites”.

The tweet was posted last night and read:

The reference to Trump and a “hit” on Hillary stems from remarks Republican Presidential Candidate Donald Trump made Tuesday during a Republican rally where he said, “By the way, if she (Hillary) gets to pick, if she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I don’t know.”

That comment by Trump received some major backlash this week, however, Trump’s camp has since stated that Trump was not trying to incite violence against Clinton.

By her tweet, she is referring to some radio stations back in 2003, pulling the group from their playlists after remarks Maines made during a concert overseas stated that she was ashamed, then President George Bush, was from Texas.

The Dixie Chicks are currently on a summer tour.  On the opening night of their tour back in Ohio in June, the Chicks’ displayed a backdrop of Donald Trump with devil horns while singing “Goodbye Earl”.
