Album releases become available for download Fridays at midnight East Coast Time. Since that’s 9pm Thursday night West Coast Time, every Thursday night, Pepper picks her three favorite songs from the new country albums and plays them on K-Frog for New at Nine! Here are her picks for this week.

Dig Your Roots, the third album from Florida Georgia Line, marks a growing maturity for the duo’s Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard.

“The whole album Dig Your Roots, you know it’s a little deeper,” confesses Tyler Hubbard in audio provided by the Big Machine Label Group. “I think the fans can expect to get to know BK and I a little bit more intimately over this album.

“Also, there’s something for everybody – we still got the party songs, we got the feel good songs, the life songs, the sad songs, we kinda got it all on this album, so that’s something we always take pride in, from Album One ’til now, just making sure that there’s not a song on there that you want to hit skip, and I think we’ve done that on this album for sure, and really just can’t wait for you guys to hear it.”

Here are the three songs from Dig Your Roots that I played for New at Nine tonight:

  1. May We All
  2. Holy
  3. God, Your Mama, and Me (featuring the Backstreet Boys)
