Beloved and talented actor Gene Wilder who was the star of such classic comedies like “Young Frankenstein” and “Blazing Saddles,” has died at the age of 83.

According CBS Los Angeles, Wilder’s nephew said that Gene Wilder had died earlier this month in Stamford, Connecticut from complications from Alzheimer’s disease.

He was best known for his starring role in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
