The final country show at Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre, Florida Georgia Line’s “Dig Your Roots” Tour, was preceded by special side stage acoustic performances from Brandy Clark, Tucker Beathard, and Chris Lane.

Brandy Clark’s smart, sassy lyrics were the star of her set, but an elegantly sustained note in her current single “Love Can Go To Hell” hinted at the full range of her vocals. Other highlights included the songwriter’s more subdued and darker version of “Mama’s Broken Heart” (made famous by Miranda Lambert), and her favorite revenge song, “Daughter,” which rounded out her performance.

Tucker Beathard’s debut EP Fight Like Hell had been released earlier in the weekend, and his set included several songs from that project, including a song inspired by his brothers, “I’ll Take On the World With You,” one that also serves as a nod to his sports background, “20-10 Tennessee,” and his debut single, “Rock On.”

Chris Lane’s set,┬ámuch like┬áhis signature falsetto, was heavily influenced by pop, and included a cover of Mario’s “Let Me Love You,” and a medley of songs from artists like the Backstreet Boys, The Weeknd, Justin Timberlake, Jason Derulo, and ‘N Sync, but the audience was every bit as familiar with his debut single “Fix.”
