Earlier today, students from Ramona High School in Riverside honored veterans at the retirement community of Welbrook Arlington with a special patriotic celebration.

Riverside City Council member Andy Melendrez was also on hand to do the honors at the ribbon-cutting of Welbrook’s Veterans’ “Wall of Honor,” a photo gallery of residents who had served in the military. He also presented Welbrook with a Certificate for honoring their resident vets.

Members of Ramona’s Junior ROTC, Music, and Dance Teams were on hand to entertain the seniors with piano and choral performances of “The Star Spangled Banner,” “America the Beautiful,” “Home on the Range,” “Let Freedom Ring,” and more.

The presentation of colors, a dance performance, and a recitation of The Pledge of Allegiance were also part of the ceremony.
