Former talk show host Rosie O ‘Donnell is heading back to television by joining the cast of Showtime’s SMILF pilot, according to E! News.

SMILF takes place in Boston and follows around Bridgett, a 20-something single mom who’s desire for relationships and careers aren’t that easy to find in reality. O’ Donnell will play the role of Tutu, Bridgett’s mother.

The pilot will also star Frankie Shaw, Samara Weaving, Cruz Cordova and will be produced by Michael London.

O’ Donnell’s acting resume also includes A League of Their Own, Harriet The Spy, Web Therapy and Curb Your Enthusiasm. She’ll also appear in NBC’s Hairspry Live! this December.
