2016 Veteran’s Day Message From Heather

There are approximately 21.8 million veterans living among us today. These brave men and women answered a call in their civilian lives, and chose to put on a uniform to serve us. Our Veterans accepted the responsibility to defend our country, for us. No questions asked.

What is a Veteran? A “Veteran” – whether active duty, discharged, retired or reserve – is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to “The United States Of America”, for an amount of “up to, and including his life.” In a nutshell. This is HONOR.

RIGHT NOW, in this very moment, we owe each and every Veteran a moment of quiet reflection, for their debts have been our rewards.

In the words of President Harry S. Truman: “Our debt to the heroic men and valiant women in the service of our country can never be repaid. They have earned our undying gratitude. America will never forget their sacrifices.” We don’t today, we don’t tomorrow, and we’ll never forget… EVER.

Wishing all of you who have served and the spouses who have been right by your side, a peaceful day today. And know, that you are appreciated.
