First of all, Happy Veterans Day and a big thanks to all of our veterans, past & present. Today at Riverside National Cemetery volunteers will fan out and put an American flag beside every grave in honor of Veterans Day.

Since 2012, Honoring Our Fallen has conducted flag-placing events at the Riverside National Cemetery ensuring all of our veterans there are honored.

Honoring Our Fallen depends on people of all ages for their support and donations of time and more as they place a miniature flag adjacent to 200,000-plus graves.

At about 2 p.m. the event will get underway, and reportedly it could take up to three hours to place the flags since there are fewer volunteers this year.

Riverside National Cemetery, on the south end of Riverside is located just west of the March Air Reserve Base. The cemetery is a 900-acre property and is the fourth-largest national cemetery in America.
