A man in Temecula was arrested yesterday, Tuesday, November 15th after he tried to run down a group of Good Samaritans who were trying to help a woman he was allegedly attacking, and it was all caught on video.

The altercation happened about 10 a.m. yesterday in a Temecula Food 4 Less parking lot in the 26000 block of Ynez Road.

CBS Los Angeles reports security guard Mikell Stansberry witnessed the situation and said, “Gentleman and his girlfriend or fiancé were in the store fighting. It led to the outside, and basically, he got angry. And the crowd tried to stop him.”

Another witness, Amy Mining said she saw what was happening and ran over to try to help. She said, “I see him just puts his hand on her, and I just kind of dropped my papers and run across the street and start grabbing her out of his grip.” “He was hurting her. He could have done a lot worse.”

According to a witness who recorded the ordeal on her phone, bystanders were trying to help the man’s girlfriend as he got into his car starting revving his engine and drove into the group of bystanders.

In the video that you can see here, you’ll see that the suspect backed up his car and appeared to have hit a woman, who had fallen to the ground, almost killing her.

Witness Amy Mining went on to say, “From the footage and from what I can see, it looks like he hit her but not too hard,” “He was insane at that point. He was sitting there laughing and crying at the same time.”

Witnesses reportedly swung and kicked his car doors and windows trying to stop his car, but the suspect drove off and then proceeded to do donuts in the parking lot.

Riverside County Sheriff’s Department was called by the witnesses and deputies took the man into custody.

25 year-old Brian Ferrer was arrested on a charge of assault with deadly weapon.

CBS 2’s Crystal Cruz was told by the suspects aunt that he and his girlfriend had been arguing because the girlfriend had stolen some beer and he tried to grab it and return it.

The suspects mother said she believed the bystanders wanted to kill her son.
