If your country concert dreams were crushed when Irvine Meadows closed we have some good news for you!

Orange Country could be getting their live music back. Last year Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre closed which took away live outdoor music for a lot of people. Well, yesterday the Irvine City Council approved the building of a temporary 12,000 seat amphitheater. It would be adjacent to the Orange County Great Park at the south end of the former El Toro Marine Corps Air Station. Which is less than 2 miles from where Irvine Meadows was located at. The temporary amphitheater could open as early as late summer. A spokesperson for the developer FivePoint said, “We’re going to have a couple of surprises towards the end of summer”.
