You don’t have to be Irish to drink Irish! Check out these awesome Irish beers for St. Patrick’s Day.

Green beer is for amateur, if you really want to get in the St. Patrick’s Day spirit skip the dye and drink an Irish beer.

5. Guinness Extra Stout

Guinness is definitely the most popular Irish beer. Plus if you’re like me you have the bartender put some hard cider in it to ease the taste. It’s called a snake bite.

4. Harp Lager

Untappd describes it as a “rich, golden pilsner style lager, with a smooth, refreshing hoppy taste”. It’s actually brewed with spring water from the Cooley Mountains of Dundalk, Ireland.

3. O’Hara’s Curim Gold

This Irish favorite is heavy wheat beer, but balanced with notes of bananas, plums, and peach.

2. Murphy’s Irish Stout

If you’re worried about a dark bitter beer, there’s nothing to worry about with a Murphy’s. This medium bodied beer balances the boldness with coffee and toffee undertones.

  1. Kilkenny Irish Cream Ale

Kilkenny is a nitrogenated Irish Cream Ale. This beer will give you a less hoppy taste and more creamy taste.
