Meet Morgan Myles.

A Williamsport, PA native, Myles has one of those heartwarming voices that instantly leaves you captivated with her “soul country” sound.

Her debut EP Miss Morgan Myles, which was released in 2016, shows off her triple threat talent (vocalist, songwriter, guitarist) with ballads of her own and cover’s of other big name artists.

Myles worked as a nanny while pursuing her degree at Belmont University and after graduating, she was a road musician playing guitar and singing backup vocals for various artists.

Now, Myles has gotten to open shows for artists like Reba McEntire, Hank Williams Jr., Rick Springfield and so many more.

Speaking of Reba, Myles recently told us she’s one of her biggest role models in country music.

Which artists did you grow up listening to?

All the females that could sing their butt off from Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston to my Country queens like Trisha Yearwood, Martina McBride… then I got really into blues singers when I started learning guitar like Bonnie Raitt, Eva Cassidy, Janis Joplin, Susan Tedeschi… Basically any past or present female baller I was wearing out their record.

Are your songs a glimpse into your personal life?

100% I can’t sing a song I don’t relate to… wouldn’t be real to me. I always want to be honest and true to myself and Ronny fans, that way we can connect on a genuine level.

You performed “Whiskey Dreaming” on a Southwest flight. How was it performing on such tight quarters?

It was definitely super silly, but it was a long flight and we were exhausted. The flight attendants bribed us quickly with some free goodies so we couldn’t resist. But it made for a fun flight we need to do it more often!

Who are your role models in the country music industry?

Reba has been since I was on tour opening for her… she is so kind and truly treats everyone with respect. Yes she is incredibly talented but who she is as a human being has made her a legend. I’ve never met Dolly Parton but I’ve always looked up to her as well because of all the good she has done with fame. Talent can make you a star but I believe goodness as a human being makes you a legend.

Your covers of Brothers Osborne “Love the Lonely Out of You” and LBT’s “Girl Crush” have hit nearly 95,000 views combined on YouTube,. If you only got to pick one song to sing at karaoke, what would it be?

Wow that’s so awesome, keep watching the video! Wait… only get one?! It depends what mood I’m in as far as karaoke! If I’m with my sister I must annoy her with any song from Music Box by Mariah Carey. If with my best friend she will make me sing that Bang Bang duet (don’t ask me)… if I’m feeling a ballad probably I will always love you!

You post a #MotivationalMonday quote every Monday. What would be your signature inspirational message you would want people to think when they think of you?

That is so hard to pick one! One motto that I hope to inspire is: Never stop doing what makes you happy. Isn’t that what life’s all about?!
