The bee population is becoming endangered, and Honey Nut Cheerios is going above and beyond to raise awareness by removing ‘Buzz The Bee’ from cereal boxes.

#BringBackTheBees is a social media campaign which was designed to encourage Americans to purchase one of 100 million free packets of wildflower seeds to plant. This will in turn, help bee colonies regenerate.

The good news, is the seeds sold out almost immediately, and in fact, 1.5 BILLION seed packets were sold exceeding their original goal.

‘Buzz the Bee’ was removed from the cereal box to go into “hiding” to remind us that we can all help the cause.

So, how can you help! Take a pledge to plant seeds on your own!

Bees play a huge role in pollinating 35% of the world’s food supply.  Even though they can be pesky at times, especially if you get stung, we need them.
