Blake Shelton and In Touch have asked a judge to dismiss a defamation lawsuit filed by Shelton.

The country singer sued the magazine in September 2015 for a story they ran, suggesting that Shelton was headed to rehab, the AP reports.

Shelton has denied the allegations and sued the magazine, winning an early ruling that allowed the case to proceed.

The filing does not mention a settlement, and at press time, Shelton’s team have not said why they’re requesting that the case be dropped.
