While serving as a first-time-ever fifth judge on NBC’s “The Voice” last night, Shania Twain made additional announcements regarding her new music, revealing that her new single, “Life’s About to Get Good,” will hit country airwaves in June, and that her new album, her first in fifteen years, will drop in September.

“I was at home looking out at the ocean,” Shania recalls in a statement from her label. “And I said to myself, ‘Here I am stuck in this past of negativity, but it’s so beautiful out. I’m not in the mood to write a ‘feeling-sorry-for-myself’ song.’

“You can’t have the good without the bad,” she continues about “Life’s About to Get Good.”

“And that’s what the song ended up being about.”

Shania will debut “Life’s About to Get Good” when she performs at Day Two of Stagecoach this weekend.
