With the amps turned up noticeably louder, Brett Eldredge brought his country soul (and sparkling blue eyes) to Stagecoach 2017.
“Get ready to get sexy!” Eldredge warned early on in his set, which included hit songs like “Wanna Be That Song,” “Don’t Ya,” “Drunk On Your Love,” and “Lose My Mind,” a marked difference from the last time he played Stagecoach in 2012, when he “didn’t have any songs that anybody knew.”
“But tonight, we’re gonna take it to another level!” he declared before launching into his current single, “Something I’m Good At.”
Brett shared that he’s just finished his third album, and included several new songs from that album, “Heartbreaker,” “Crystal Clear,” and the acoustic “The Long Way.” Both of those songs, as well as Eldredge’s stated theme of the album “about finding a deeper kind of love” promise that the new project will be just as romantic, if not more so, than his previous work.
Along the lines, his performance of “Mean to Me” found audience members with their arms wrapped around each other, cell phone lights lit.
“That’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen!” Eldredge commented in awe.
