Early Wednesday morning the discovery of a man and a woman, who were shot to death, were found behind a grocery store in Pomona.
CBS Los Angeles reports that according to Pomona police Lt. Marcus Perez., at about 10:55 p.m. Tuesday night the shooting was reported behind the Perez Marketplace, in Ridgeway Street and Barjud Avenue area.
Two people, both of Pomona, were pronounced dead at the scene, a 37-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man.
John Jordan, who is a neighbor, said he was familiar with the two victims and he also said he heard the gunfire and screams. Reportedly the male and female were friends, and they were frequently known to hang out at the market.
“They’ve never bothered anybody. They’re not out to cause trouble and this happens,” Jordan said. “It’s senseless and sad. These people were gunned down, and for what?”
As of now suspect information wasn’t readily available and the incident and motive of the crime is under investigation.
