Authorities say on Monday there was a bear found limping beside lanes on the 210 Freeway, and it may have been hit by a vehicle.

According to CBS Los Angeles, at about 7:45 a.m. Monday morning, the 200-pound bear was first reported to be in the lanes of the westbound side of the 210 Freeway at Foothill Boulevard.

The bear was last spotted in the brush around the Fruit Street area, and so authorities shut down the Fruit Street on-ramp to the 210 ,while they waited for wardens of Fish and Wildlife to arrive.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the bear looked like it was limping, and was reportedly seen laying down occasionally and then would get back up and start walking again.
