Watch Aaron Lewis Play Emotional Tribute to Friend Chester Bennington

Aaron Lewis and Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington were friends.

News of the frontman’s suicide his Aaron hard last week, during his performance at the Hampton Beach Casino in New Hampshire.

The two had been friends and collaborated and a version of LP’s “Crawling” years before.

According to Loudwire, just hours after learning of Bennington’s death, Aaron decided to pay tribute to the singer with “Something to Remind You”, which was from Lewis’ Staind self-titled album in 2011.

From the stage Lewis said:

“So I lost a really good friend today,” started Lewis during the introduction of “Something to Remind You.” “I’m not really sure why he chose to take his own life, but it’s been a really sad day. So this next song is for Chester.”

During the performance, Lewis got choked up, but the crowd was rallying behind the Aaron the whole time.  It was a perfect tribute by the extremely talented Lewis.

At the end of the performance, Lewis raised his glass to Chester.
