ONTARIO (CBS-Riverside) San Bernardino County coroner’s officials say the man who was struck and killed by a Metrolink train in Ontario earlier this week has been identified. He was 40-year-old, Federico Duran, of Long Beach.
The Press Enterprise reports that according to Ontario police, the incident appears to have been an apparent suicide. Duran waited for the train to approach and then just stepped onto the tracks.
According to the transportation agency, the unfortunate event happened Monday afternoon on Riverside Line 402 to downtown Riverside at South Archibald Avenue and Mission Boulevard between the East Ontario and Pedley stations.
