Police in Pasadena are looking for a man who is wanted in the kidnapping attempt of a 19-year-old woman Saturday.
CBS Los Angeles reports that according to Pasadena police, just before 8 p.m. Saturday night, the woman was outside of the Smart & Final store at the corner of North Fair Oaks Avenue and Maple Street walking, when all of a sudden a man in a truck pulls up beside her and jumps out.
Security guard Richard Garcia says after the victim managed to escape, she ran to him for help, “I just came out to take a break right there on that milk crate.”
“He grabbed her by the hair and knocked her down, drugged her, tried to put her in the truck. The girl put up a fight and she said he pulled her hair and he hit her a couple of times,” he continued.
Garcia said the attacker got scared and drove off as the teenage woman screamed and another car drove by.
According to police, the victim suffered cuts to her elbows and knees from being dragged by her hair along the payment.
The suspects’ truck is being described as a Dodge Ram, possibly white and from the late 2000s.
It’s believed the attacker drove west on Maple before getting on the 210 Freeway.
