The boys of Rascal Flatts have been together as a band for nearly twenty years now, and some of the genre’s current superstars got their first introduction to country fans by opening for the trio on tour, who are always on the lookout for up and coming talent. So who’s on their radar these days?

“For me, right now, I’ve gotta say there are two,” Jay DeMarcus reveals in a statement from the band’s label. “Old Dominion‘s making some great music. I really, really love what they’re doing and they’re just great guys and great musicians.

“And Kelsea Ballerini is really, really killin’ it right now, and it’s exciting for me whenever we take somebody on the road that opens for us to go out and watch how the crowd reacts to them. And you almost have the sixth sense, you know, [Jason] Aldean opened up for us, Blake Shelton did, and you could almost tell immediately that there was something extra, some intangible there that these people were going to be stars, and that’s exactly what I feel about her.”

Rascal Flatts will get the chance to scout out more future superstars when they join Team Blake as advisors for this season of “The Voice.”
