LOS ANGELES (CBS-Riverside) – According to his agent, comic actor and radio DJ Jay Thomas has died at age 69.

CBS Los Angeles reports a statement in the New York Daily News from Thomas’ agent, Don Buchwald, confirmed that Jay passed away from cancer.

Jay Thomas was best known for his guest appearances on “Murphy Brown,” a role in which he won an Emmy and he was also renowned in Los Angeles as the host of the Power 106 “Morning Zoo” radio show. Most recently he hosted a talk show on SiriusXM radio.

There weren’t any further details about his released.
