Hurricane Harvey’s impact is now reaching the Inland Empire.

Hurricane Harvey has dropped over 27 inches of rain in areas of Texas and tragically claimed 2 lives.

Our very own, Riverside Fire Department, is heading to Texas to help with relief efforts.

The historic hurricane could last through September 1st with the possibility of dropping 50 inches of rain.

Riverside Fire Department’s Swift Water Rescue Team left yesterday for Houston. The 14 member crew will be taking their trucks, boats, and equipment to help with rescue efforts.

The crew previously aided in efforts for Hurricane Katrina back in 2005.

God bless our first responders.
