At least 58 people have died and over 500 people have been injured in the mass shooting at Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas.

Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombarde has held a press conference, confirming that an unidentied “local resident” is believed to be the sole shooter in this incident, and that person has been killed on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay.
He also identified a “person of interest,” the suspect’s roommate Marilou Danley, described as an Asian female, 4’11,” 111 lbs. Police are also looking for two vehicles registered to the suspect: a Hyundai Tucson with license plate #114B40 and a Chrysler Pacifica Touring with license plate #19D401.
Sheriff Lombarde could not provide an exact number of victims, but did say over 20 people have been killed and over 100 injured.
He went on to describe the situation as a “lone wolf” incident, with no other shooters at other resorts, and that no explosives were used as weapons, other than the ones used by the SWAT Team to breach the suspect’s room at Mandalay Bay.
The Sheriff also noted that some off-duty police officers were among the casualties, although he was unable to provide names.
Police are requesting that any video of the incident that would be beneficial to the investigation be turned over to them.
McCarran Airport has reported that limited flight activity has resumed, but to expect ongoing delays.
The number of casualties has been upped to at least 20. Police believe there are no more shooters.
At approximately 10:08pm, multiple gunshots were heard in the middle of Day 3 headliner Jason Aldean‘s set. Witnesses reported the several bursts of automatic weaponry sounded like they were coming from an upper level of the Mandalay Bay.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has reported that one suspect is down. It’s unknown if there are other suspects.
Victims have been taken to area hospitals, including University Medical Center.
Flights in and out of McCarran Airport in Las Vegas have been temporarily halted. The Las Vegas Strip and a nearby portion of I-15 have also been shut down, while guests at Mandalay Bay and other nearby hotels have been ordered to shelter in place.
Chris Young, who was also part of the lineup, described the situation on Twitter, writing, “Spent I don’t know how long on the floor of a trailer behind the stage….I’m literally shaking still.”
Jake Owen posted, “Praying for everyone here in Vegas. I witnessed the most unimaginable event tonight. We are okay. Others aren’t. Please pray.”
It’s estimated that 30,000 people were in attendance at this event.
