“We’re gonna get to healin” tonight. – LOCASH
Music heals. That was the underlying theme during last nights’ amazing performance by LOCASH at the Southern California Fair.
After the tragedy that took place in Las Vegas on Sunday night during the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas, many weren’t sure how to go on.
LOCASH spoke to K-Frog earlier in the week and it was decided that they were not going to let fear cripple us, and they were going to fly out to perform and spread the love. And that is exactly what they did.
The evening began with a moment of silence for the victims, the families and the injured.
Levon opened the show with songs from their new EP, and got the crowd ramped up for the evening with a performance of their current hit “Ms. Marianne”.
Then LOCASH took the stage and sang all of their hits including “Ring On Every Finger”, and “I Know Somebody”, but the most amazing part of the evening is when they brought up people who were at Route 91, including a gentleman who was shot in the leg and still had the bullet in his thigh.
That poignant moment solidified that we will not let evil win… ever.
It was a night filled with love, smiles, worship, and great country music. And it brought the country music family a little bit closer together. Something we all needed.
Levon shared the following video on their instagram, of the camaraderie on-stage and in the crowd.
Instagram user Tara Whelton described the night perfectly and how many people felt about attending the show last night.
There was much contemplation before attending this @locash concert last night. It felt wrong to be enjoying a good time after all the devastation in Vegas. I ended up happy I chose to go. The energy and love of the people attending was amazing. Music will always bring people together. There were #route91harvest heros and survivors there standing strong. We must make the most of every day and continue to love one another and do good. My prayers will continue to go out to the victims, their families and everyone affected. #neverforget #love #prayers #vegas #standingstrong #countrymusic #locash #LasVegas #comingtogether #celebratinglife #helpingothers #supportingothers #spreadingjoy #stayingpositive #tarawhelton #lifecoach @stephlynn3 @justin98234
There were a lot of hugs, and a lot of love at the Lake Perris Fairgrounds last night. But most important, a jump start of the healing process for many.
