Album releases become available for download Fridays at midnight East Coast Time. Since that’s 9pm Thursday night West Coast Time, every Thursday night, Pepper picks her two favorite songs from the new country albums and plays them on K-Frog for New at Nine! Here are her picks for this week.

Most albums are named for a song (or line in one of the songs) from the project, or sometimes even named for the artist. Not so for Danielle Bradbery‘s new album I Don’t Believe We’ve Met.

“It’s just the name we fell upon naturally,” Danielle explains in a statement from her label. “We were just having a conversation one day, I introduced myself as ‘oh, I don’t believe we’ve met,’ and we all just as a team caught on to that and continued to work with it and it made complete sense on what I’ve just been wanting to do is reintroduce myself.

“I’m growing up and I just want my fans to know a little bit more on what I am and what type of music I really listen to and what music I’m into and just kind of bring it all together,” the Season 4 winner of The Voice continues. “So I’m really happy with the title and people seem to be catching on pretty quick.”

What else should we expect from the album? “Prepare for, honestly, a lot of emotions,” the “Sway” singer cautions. “You have your fun ones, but those are actually just real feelings and true feelings that I want them to experience too. I would say prepare some tissues for a couple of songs.

“But I just hope more than anything, that if they can get anything out of this whole album is hopefully advice or any of my songs can help them through whatever they’re going through. I know a lot of people have gone through some things on this album. So it’s basically telling ‘em you’re not alone. We all go through it. And so hopefully we can just kind of live through things together and it’s just an honest album.”

Here are the songs from I Don’t Believe We’ve Met that I played for New at Nine tonight:

  1. Worth It
  2. Sway

Look for Danielle on NBC’s “Today Show” tomorrow (December 1st).
