To the rest of the world, Justin Moore is a famous country music singer, but he tries to leave that behind when he’s off the road and at home with his wife and kids. One way he tries to maintain some normalcy is by coaching his daughters’ sports teams.
“I coached their basketball team the last two years, and then this past year I coached their softball team, and we actually went undefeated,” the “Somebody Else Will” singer reveals in a statement from his label. “I was assistant coach. I mean – it wasn’t because of me. We just had a really good team.
“So yeah, it’s a lot of fun to be able to be involved and be a normal dad,” he continues. “I just want to be normal. I want to be like everybody else. So, to be able to have the opportunity to do that is cool for me. But I’m hopeful that it’s really cool for the kids, because I never want my decision to play music for a living and be a country music singer to affect them in a negative way, embarrass them, whatever.
“And so, we do the best that we can to try to make our lives as normal as possible, understanding that they’re not completely normal. And so, me being able to do things like that, I hope helps in that regard.”
Justin will bring his “Hell on a Highway” Tour to Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario this Saturday, January 27th.
