Midland is heading to New York City this weekend, as they’ve been nominated in two categories in the 60th annual GRAMMY Awards. They’ve received nods from the Recording Academy for Best Country Duo/Group Performance and Best Country Song for “Drinkin’ Problem.”

“We’re very excited to be nominated for a Grammy because the Grammys are the pinnacle of musical achievement,” says Cameron Duddy in a press release from the trio’s label.

“Everybody that we are nominated with we have so much respect for, people that we’ve looked up to for a long time, so we’re so honored to be associated with these other nominees,” adds Jeff Carson.

“To be honest it’s completely unexpected,” admits lead singer Mark Wystrach. “And the reality of hearing that you are nominated for a Grammy is just absolutely surreal and we’re honored. It’s amazing.”

The GRAMMYs air this Sunday night at 8pm/7pm CT on CBS.
