Brothers Osborne are up for their third Grammy nomination Sunday night; this year, John and TJ are up for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for “It Ain’t My Fault.”

“Being nominated for a GRAMMY is genuinely something you dream of as a kid, you know, when you’re sitting in your room learning to play a guitar solo for the umpteenth-jillionth time,” John confesses in a statement from the duo’s label. “You think of yourself like, ‘I want to be on stage one day. I want to be nominated or win a Grammy,’ but to you it’s just a dream.

“It’s like, ‘It probably won’t happen,’ then all of a sudden you wake up and you’re like, ‘We literally just got nominated for our third Grammy, and this is insane. How did this happen?’ After years and years of hard work, you forget about those things. I mean, not entirely,” he continues. “You just lose sight of it a little bit, and all of a sudden, you wake up with something like that and you’re like, ‘Wow! All this is paying off.’

“It means a lot because all of the people who have come before us that have been nominated and won Grammys are always very respectful and authentic artists, and we’re just grateful to be a part of it.”

In addition to their nomination, the “Bros” will also perform a tribute to the victims of the Route 91 Harvest Festival, along with Eric Church and Maren Morris.
