Evacuations Ordered in Apple Fire

An Evacuation Center has been set up at Beaumont High School.

Evacuations have been ordered following the Apple Fire in Cherry Valley, with multiple spots burning along Oak Glen Road, initially reported at 4:55pm on July 31st. 

Update: As of 8pm on August 1st, the fire had grown to over 12,000 acres, and remains at 0% containment. One single family dwelling and two out buildings have been destroyed near Avenida Miravilla.

Evacuation orders are in effect for Potato Canyon Area West to Raywood Flat; north of Wilson Street, east of Sunset Avenue, and west of Hathaway Street; East of Oak Glen Road, West of Banning Canyon Road and along Pine Beach Road; north of Cherry Valley Boulevard, West of Highland Springs, and East of Beaumont Avenue; north of Gilman Street cross of Bluff Street.

An evacuation warning has been issued for North of Morongo Road, East of Millard Canyon Road, and West of Whitewater Canyon Road. 

As of 7:30pm on July 31st, two separate fires had consumed 350 acres and were 0% contained. Approximately 250 firefighters were on scene.

Evacuations have been ordered for residents South of the County Line, North of Dutton Street and East of Oak Glen Road. An Evacuation Center is located at Beaumont High School - (39139 Cherry Valley Blvd.).
