This year as we enter the summer and fall driving seasons and millions of people hit the road for vacation destinations, it’s critical to drive safely, free of distractions.

In 2018, there were 2,841 people killed and about 400,000 people injured in incidents involving distracted drivers. Eight percent  of  drivers  15  to  19  years  old  involved  in  fatal  crashes were reported as distracted.

This age group has the largest proportion of drivers who were distracted at the time of the fatal crashes.

Julie Garner, Founder of Project Yellow Light, came on the program to talk about the importance of getting the word out that distracted driving is dangerous driving.
