With everything that’s going on in the world today, protecting your skin from the sun may not be top of mind, but during the summer it should be.

According to a new American Academy of Dermatology survey, 60% of us have gotten sunburned so badly our clothes were uncomfortable and 43% of us couldn’t sleep.

That could be why 9,500 Americans are diagnosed with skin cancer EVERY DAY and nearly 20 Americans die every day from melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer.

Dr. Laurin Council, a board-certified dermatologist and member of the American Academy of Dermatology, came on the program to discuss why we should protect ourselves from the sun and how to do it, from seeking shade to selecting clothing that protects you from the sun.
