Amidst a battle with a rare brain condition, Drake White has decided to take a break from touring.

Earlier this month, the soulful singer revealed, after nearly collapsing on stage, that back in January, he'd been diagnosed with an arteriovenous malformation (AVM), a tangle of abnormal blood vessels connecting arteries and veins in the brain. He continued to perform while undergoing treatment, including a performance at the Brandin' Iron in San Bernardino in June.

Now Drake is announcing that he'll be taking a break from touring to focus on getting well.

"He is in the best hands possible and is going to take a break from touring for a while, in order to make a full recovery and get back to 100%," a post on his social media accounts noted. "Please continue to keep the prayers and good vibes coming for our warrior. "

Hey @drakewhitestomp friends! We wanted to let you know, Drake is taking time to rest and recover due to residual effects of the AVM. He is in the best hands possible and is going to take a break from touring for a while, in order to make a full recovery and get back to 100%. Please continue to keep the prayers and good vibes coming for our warrior. Team Drake White #drakewhite #drakewhiteandthebigfire #teamdrakewhite
