Lee Brice, Hunter Hayes, and Easton Corbin have been tapped to participate in a Hallmark television special to bring attention to millions of shelter and rescue dogs looking for their forever homes.

Their performances at "The Love of Dogs Benefit Concert" at the Country Music Hall of Fame CMA Theatre on Thursday, October 10th will be taped to air on the Hallmark Channel on Monday, October 21st at 10pm ET/PT.

According to a press releae, the concert special will raise funds for the PEDIGREE Foundation, as part of Hallmark's "Adoption Ever After" initiative, which has helped over 35,000 pets find loving homes.

"Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries produce and air original programs like 'Kitten Bowl,' 'American Rescue Dog Show,' 'Hero Dog Awards,' and 'A Very Merry Yule Log' to showcase and celebrate shelter pet adoption that literally give pets a second chance at life," noted Bill Abbott, President & CEO, Crown Media Family Networks in the press release.

"'The Love of Dogs' is more than a new original special featuring great country artists; it is an opportunity to renew our partnership with PEDIGREE Foundation to raise the money that supports the adoption of millions of dogs across the country," he added.

"We are thrilled to partner with Hallmark Channel and these talented country artists to bring awareness to the millions of dogs that end up in shelters every year," said Deb Fair, Executive Director of PEDIGREE Foundation, a 501(c)(3) foundation. "Our mission is to support shelters and rescue organizations across the nation - including those in your backyard - to make it a little easier for them to help these dogs find loving homes."

Update: An earlier version of this post listed the air date as Monday, October 14th. That has been changed to reflect an updated schedule.
